Classic Horror by Zoe Humphries
We love the classic styling of Zoe's work. She seems able to capture character without 'over-stylising' her work.

About Zoe
'I'm a huge film fan - horror, fantasy and sci-fi in particular - and have been obsessed with animatronics and practical special effects from a very early age. I was in total awe of the wonderful Ray Harryhausen's work for Jason and the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans when I watched these films at Christmas with my grandparents.
That love has never left me.
Around two years ago, I decided to do something about it and have a go myself. I discovered that the legendary effects artist Dick Smith (The Exorcist, Amadeus) did long distance learning, so I got in touch and, eventually, managed to pass his 'Basic 3D Make Up' course. I got very positive comments and am now in the midst of the Advanced course which is incredibly complex and challenging. I'm loving every second!
'I also do pen-and-ink and acrylic work alongside the course. My ink portraits are done in a cross-hatch style with fine-line ink pens. I've always liked this technique and have tried to develop it into my own personal style. Recently, I've tried my hand at acrylics which I'm not as confident with but am practising and developing.'
